Prosper for Greening Community Base had the honor of welcoming representatives from the World Vision Fund organization to Kwamafunchi Village for a special visit to the Greening Africa3 (GA3) project.
The GA3 project, launched on October 16, 2023, is a landmark initiative in Kondoa District that focuses on community-driven climate restoration, land regeneration, and sustainable livelihoods. It is being managed by Prosper for Greening Community Base in Tanzania, in collaboration with the Pachamama Raymi organization from Peru.
A Day of Learning and Sharing
During the visit, guests from the World Vision Fund engaged with local farmers, village leaders, and project staff to witness firsthand the progress and impact of the project. They toured demonstration plots, tree nurseries, and reforestation sites where community members are actively working to restore degraded lands and improve soil fertility.
The visitors were impressed by the community’s commitment and the innovative approaches being used—particularly the farmer-to-farmer learning model that empowers households to adopt sustainable land management practices.
Building Partnerships for Greener Futures
The exchange provided an excellent platform to share ideas, challenges, and successes in the journey of environmental conservation. Both organizations emphasized the importance of partnerships in scaling up impact and ensuring that communities not only protect their environment but also benefit economically from it.
Speaking during the visit, representatives from Prosper for Greening Community Base highlighted the vision of the GA3 project:
“Our mission is to restore the land, empower communities, and create a greener future for generations to come. Collaboration with organizations like World Vision Fund strengthens our capacity to achieve this goal.”
Looking Ahead
The visit from World Vision Fund reaffirmed the significance of the GA3 project as a model for sustainable community-based climate action. With continued collaboration, Prosper for Greening Community Base and its partners are committed to expanding the reach of the project so that more households and villages can benefit from a restored and thriving environment.
✨ Together, we are turning degraded lands into green, fertile grounds of hope.
